Answer:3 button c cells, #AG10. The batteries lasted a fair amount of time. There was a small piece of paper over one battery to keep the unit from being accidentally turned on during shipment. If one did not remove it the lights would not work. Furthermore, they did not work until actually using them on the bike.

Answer:Take off the old valve stem cap and the light screws right back on.

Pretty simple, actually! Just remove the cap from the air valve and screw this in its place. Remember to unscrew the light first and take out the piece of paper b/w the batteries and the connection first!

Question:The package said: please remove battery stoppers before use. What are they , where are they, and how do you remove them?
Answer:there is a piece of paper or thin plastic that is placed in the battery compartment that keeps the batteries from coming in contact with each other. To access them you must unscrew the light base and remove it. make sure to get the batteries back in the correct direction when reinstalling them.
